Sherwood Elementary 2025 Talent Show - FAQ

1. What is the SWE Talent Show?
The talent show is a long-standing tradition at Sherwood Elementary and one of the most fun, beloved events of the year! Kids get to show off and perform their talents in front of their family (evening show) and their friends (day show).

2. What talents are allowed?
We love seeing everyone’s unique talents! See the QR audition permission form for ideas. All music, movements, and dress for the talent show must be appropriate for school. Also, each act is limited to two (2) minutes maximum in length.

3. What dates do I need to know for the talent show?
Auditions are March 19, 2025, immediately after school, 2:30 to 4 PM.
Dress Rehearsal is April 29, 2025, immediately afterschool, 2:30 to 4 PM.
The Family Show is May 1, 2025, in the evening from 5:30 to 7 PM.
Student Show is May 2, 2025, morning *exact time to be determined by SWE.

4. Where will the talent show happen?
All the talent show events will be at our current school location - transition campus.

5. Who is eligible to participate in the show?
All Sherwood Elementary students PK to 5th are eligible to be in the show. Any student who would like to participate will be encouraged and supported.

6. How can my child participate?
Only students who audition will be allowed to participate in the talent show. Please complete and submit the QR Google form BEFORE the audition to let us know your child is coming to the audition and has your permission to participate in the shows.

7. Why do you have auditions?
We use auditions to confirm that the students who say they are interested are committed to performing. Sometimes students change their minds after they see the space and place where the show will happen and/or realize they do not want to perform even in front of the Talent Show Committee or the other kids auditioning. We also use the auditions to confirm that all the proposed acts are school appropriate and to begin organizing the order of the show.

1. ¿Qué es el Espectáculo de Talentos de SWE?
¡El programa de talentos es una tradición de muchos años en Sherwood Elementary y uno de los eventos más divertidos y queridos del año! Los niños pueden presumir y mostrar sus talentos frente a su familia (espectáculo de la tarde) y sus compañeros (espectáculo del día).

2. ¿Cuáles talentos se permiten?
¡Nos encanta ver los talentos únicos de todos los estudiantes! Consulte el formulario de permiso de audición QR para obtener ideas. El ensayo general será el 29 de abril de 2025, inmediatamente después de la escuela, de 2:30

El Espectáculo Estudiantil será 2 de mayo de 2025 por la mañana *la hora exacta será
determinada por la administración de SWE.

4. ¿Dónde se llevará a cabo el concurso de talentos?
Todos los eventos del concurso de talentos se llevarán a cabo en nuestra ubicación escolar actual: el campus de transición.

5. ¿Quién es elegible para participar en el programa?
Todos los estudiantes de la Escuela Primaria Sherwood PK a 5o son elegibles para participar en el programa. Cualquier estudiante que desee participar será alentado y apoyado.

6. ¿Cómo puede participar mi hijo?
Solo los estudiantes que adicionen podrán participar en el concurso de talentos. Complete y envíe el formulario QR de Google ANTES de la audición para informarnos que su hijo asistirá a la audición y tiene su permiso para participar en los espectáculos.

7. ¿Por qué hacen audiciones?
Utilizamos las audiciones para confirmar que los estudiantes que dicen estar interesados están comprometidos con la actuación. A veces, los estudiantes cambian de opinión después de ver el espacio y el lugar donde se llevará a cabo el espectáculo y/o se dan cuenta de que no quieren actuar ni siquiera frente al Comité del Espectáculo de Talentos o los otros niños que adicionen. También utilizamos las audiciones para confirmar que todos los actos propuestos son apropiados para la escuela y para comenzar a organizar el orden del espectáculo.

8. ¿Cómo puedo ayudar con el concurso de talentos?
